Hey Modos Backers!

I hope you are doing well.

After getting off a very spirited conversation with our connector manufacturer, I regret inform you that once again the delivery date has been pushed backed. Against all of our efforts and purchase orders for expedited production, we will not be able to fulfill in 2014. Exact date is soon to come. I realize this may be disappointing for you, as it surely is for me. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out. I'm here for you. I cherish my early adopters, and I'm determined to deliver a beautiful, user friendly and ecologically considered product to your doorstep. I'm guessing that some of you are interested in my process, so I've included a photo of an example of the custom, laser cut packaging that will now be coming with the 2 pack, 4 pack, 6 pack and 12 pack connector boxes. I hope you like it!

Delivery Timeline Update and Sale Ending

Dear Modos Backers,

We appreciate your continued support and your stone like patience. Unfortunately, we will not be able to fulfill your rewards in October, and we are diligently working to deliver before the December holidays. I’m excited to announce that we have found a series of manufacturers in the United States (rather than Taiwan where we initially had our manufacturing) to make the Modos connectors for fulfilling your Kickstarter rewards. The lead time for tooling is slightly longer with small batch manufacturers in the United States, though this is a speed bump, we believe going this route will result in a higher quality product for you. We are extremely grateful for your support, and we are very sorry that we will not be delivering in October.

Monday (Sept 29th) is that last day we are offering Kickstarter level discounts; if you want to lock in additional savings for your Christmas or Hanukah gifts, now is the time! Hi Modos Backers!  

We've been very busy here in the Modos office. Our apologies that it's taken us a while to update you! 

WHAT'S BEEN HAPPENING 
- You helped make the Modos Kickstarter campaign a smashing success! THANK YOU!!! In addition to helping Modos move closer to mass production, you have brought international attention.
- We've received interest from investors to take the product to a larger scale, and manufacturers are asking to license the patent.
- We've received inquiries from large retailers, distributors, and design shops.
- We've been refining the dimensions of the connectors and the intermediaries so that those making DIY Modos furniture will have the option to use other wood beyond what we recommend.
- We designed and built two large custom Modos installations for in NYC and Las Vegas, plus a sleek DJ table. 

 - We anodized connectors. My favorite is the black. Mass customization, here we come.

- We're in the midst of designing packaging for the Desk Stand and the packaging for large quantities of connectors. This is not the final design, but we are getting closer.

TIMING- We still have the October delivery in our sights. Full steam ahead! 

BACKERKIT.COM- Please give us your address through Backerkit, if you already have, thank you. Everyone's account info has been transferred from Kickstarter, so it should be easy.
- You and the internet still have the option to lock in additional discounted pricing (not early bird) for a limited amount of time through Backerkit.

Hello Modos Enthusiasts!

We're sending out the Backerkit survey today! We have synced your Kickstarter profile and pledge with Backerkit to minimize the work you have to do. The survey will ask for your address, a couple questions about Modos, and if you would like to upgrade your order, along with choosing additional items to pre-order.
